DIABETES TREATMENT
Offers different diabetes education programs based on the type of diabetes and needs of the individual. A Type 2 diabetes program which consists of four visits scheduled over a four month period is designed to help the individual with Type 2 diabetes learn the basics of controlling blood sugar levels through good nutrition, moderate activity, and blood sugar monitoring. Group classes for managing diabetes during pregnancy are also available as well as group classes for insulin pump therapy and nutrition basics. Individual consultations with a certified diabetes nurse educator and certified diabetes nutrition educator are also available.
